Best 5 Snacks For A Movie Night

If you getting  ready to a movie night with your friends, you might be looking for some great movie snacks ideas.

Do you like organizing movie evenings at home with your friends? Do you want to impress them with some home-made movie night snacks, which are different from the classic delivered pizza or popcorn? Here are few recipes of snacks that you can make yourself.

1. Guacamole & Veggies with Tortilla Chips


No one can resist to the delicious Mexican food; tortilla chips with guacamole as a dip is just a perfect marriage of flavors when you are enjoying a movie. The good news is that you can make guacamole yourself and the chips are not the only thing you can dip in it. It is also great with vegetables cut into sticks, which makes a perfect vegan snack.

For the guacamole you will need:

  • 2 avocados
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 table spoon of olive oil
  • 1 tomato cut into very small cubes
  • 1 small onion cut into very small pieces
  • 2 table spoons of fresh coriander
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chili powder (if you like it spicy)

In a bowl, smash the avocados with a fork,add the rest of the ingredients, and mix it with a spoon.

2. Tzatziki


In addition to being a healthy snack, this fresh Greek snack is perfect for the upcoming summer. The best is to eat it with a kind of bread called blinis or with pita.

If you want to make it yourself, here is the recipe:

  • 2 Greek yogurts
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tooth of garlic
  • 1 cucumber cut into small cubes
  • Few mint leaves
  • 2 table spoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

3. Salmon Rolls


Salmon rolls are are another perfect snack for a movie night at home.  They are super delicious and easy to make!

You will need:

  • 4 table spoons of cream
  • 1 green salad
  • 200g of sliced yellow cheese
  • 4 slices of smoked salmon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 avocado
  • 4 Mexican tortillas used for fajitas

Peel the avocado and cut it into 4 quarters and pour the lemon juice on it. Cut the salmon and the cheese into sticks. Spread the cream on the tortillas and add salmon, cheese, avocado, and some salad leaves. Roll it tight and cut it into 2 or 3 pieces depending on how big it is.

4. Fried vegetables


There are some veggies that we forget about or that we don’t know how to cook. Frying is the easiest way of cooking  and fried veggies are so tasty indeed.


In order to prepare this snack you will need:

  • Broccoli, cauliflower, eggplant, zucchini
  • 125g of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 125g of sparkling water
  • 1 tea spoon of baking powder
  • Salt
  • Frying oil

Heat the oil. Mix the flour, the baking powder, salt, add the egg and the sparkling water, mixing all together at the same moment. Cut the broccoli and cauliflower into medium pieces and the eggplant and zucchini into thin circles. Put the veggies in the dough you made and then fry them in the oil. Delicious!

5. Ham And Cucumber Rolls


If you don’t have much time but you want to make a nice snack for a movie night, this is the easiest and the quickest food you can make.​

You need:

  • Ham (or salmon) slices
  • Cucumber
  • White cheese with condiments
  • Small wooden sticks

Cut the cucumber in its length into very thin layers. Spread the cheese on the ham (or salmon) and cucumber. Roll them and cut them into the size you prefer. Put the sticks on the pieces and it’s ready.
