Electro pop

The Dumplings are a Polish electro pop duo from Zabrze. So far they have released two studio albums. Their debut studio album No Bad Days released in May 2014 have been hailed one of the greatest musical sensations of 2013/2014 by the Polish media, receiving an award for phonographic debut of the year.

Death Metal

Behemoth is a death metal band from Gdańsk, formed in 1991. They are considered to have played an important role in establishing the Polish extreme metal underground. What is interesting Behemoth’s album “The Satanist” debuted at 34 position on the Billboard Top 200 which is the highest position ever for extreme metal bands.

Classical music

Frederic Chopin was a Polish-born composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era who wrote primarily for the solo piano. He gained and has maintained renown worldwide as a leading musician of his era. Especially in Warsaw you can enjoy Chopin recitals given by young pianists in Łazienki Królewskie every sunday.

Rock

Kult is a band formed in 1982 in Warsaw. Kult’s early works were strongly influenced by alternative, progressive and punk rock, as well as the British new wave, but the band gradually incorporated more diverse and innovative styles in their music. Kult remains one of the best-known Polish musical groups. The band released a total of 13 studio albums.

Bigbit

Ada Rusowicz was one of the greatest representatives of bigbit – fusion of pop, rock and rock’n’roll, music genre that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1960s. This kind of music used to be extremely popular in Poland in the 60’ and 70’. There was no flat party without dancing to these tunes played from vinyls. Kacezet & Dreadsquad is a cooperation of 2 DJs from Łódź playing since 2001 reggae and dancehall music and vocalist Kacezet from Warsaw. They can be seen often at various reggae and hip-hop music festivals where they easily can move hundreds of people.

Ewelina Lisowska reached the semi-finals of the Polish adaptation of the second X Factor. Her debut EP, “Ewelina Lisowska” was released on 7 August 2012 and her singles reached top on Polish music chart.

Punk rock

Dezerter founded in May 1981 in Warsaw, is one of the most popular punk bands from Poland. The band was founded by three students of Warsaw’s vocational high school, all three were born in 1963, and went to the same class.The band released a total of 13 studio albums.

Disco polo

Disco polo is a music genre of dance music, created in Poland in the late 1980s. Disco polo could be defined as the genre of disco music, with simple melodies. It is derived from disco, contemporary folk music influenced by Italo disco and Polish folk songs. Disco polo songs are mostly played at weddings and feasts.

Taco Hemingway is a rapper, currently one of the most famous artists among young Poles, smartly describing the realities and the situation in Poland. He’s strongly connected with Warsaw, which is often the topic of his songs. Listen to the minimalistic beats, Taco’s good flow and trust us that the lyrics are really good!

Jacek Sienkiewicz is a Polish electronic music producer called “father of polish techno”. As they say he’s walking the line between full-on modern, detroit-inspired techno and digital experimentalism.

Indie pop

Dawid Podsiadło was born in 1993, he’s a singer-songwriter who won the second series of X Factor in 2012. His debut album titled Comfort and Happiness was released in 2013 and debuted at number one on the Polish Albums Chart and was certified triple Platinum the same year, becoming the best-selling album of 2013 in Poland. David music is a very melodic mixture of indie and pop rock with good lyrics.
