Everything You Need to Know about your Trip to Zakopane

HOW TO GET THERE
Firstly, we can start off by identifying the main options there is to arrive in Zakopane, you can choose to travel by Bus, by Train or also you can choose to rent a car, which ever is the most convenient for you. Buses and Trains in Poland are super reliable and they are not expensive so what more could you want? A bus ride to Zakopane from Warsaw takes around 7 hours and 15 Minutes, it is highly recommended to catch a night bus so that once you arrive in Zakopane, you would have plenty of time to go around and visit the best touristic attractions, that way you could make the most out of your trip. The other two options are the Train or by car, which are a better alternative since they are faster than the bus and from Warsaw it takes around 5 hours and 15 minutes therefore you would gain 2 hours more in Zakopane.
BEST TOURISTIC ATTRACTIONS
#1 Krupowki Street
This is Zakopane’s main street with many nice shops and restaurants that offer traditional polish food, it tends to be very crowded in the peak season for example during winter and summer but it is worth a visit as it is a way that you can relax visiting some lovely souvenir shops and more.
This is considered to be one of the must sees in Zakopane. You can either choose to walk there which is the cheaper option or you can use the train in which you will be there in a few minutes. Once you arrive on top of the mountain, you can enjoy the beautiful view of Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains. As previously mentioned, it also tends to be crowded during peak seasons especially in August.
#3 Strążyska Valley
This is a small valley, not very far from Zakopane’s Center. This might be the perfect option for those individuals who are not professional mountaineers. You can choose to take a very relaxing walk whilst enjoying the view of the Tatra Mountains, it is highly recommended to add this to your Zakopane journey.
This is a very popular ski area and known for other sport activities especially during the winter, perfect for beginners who want to learn as the slopes are not very high. This would be ideal for those who have a tight budget as Poland is really not expensive and that will really help in making the most out of your trip to Zakopane. Normally, in other ski resorts it will be very expensive to train for skiing but on this mountain you can learn the basic skills at a lower price for sure.
#5 Lake Morskie Oko
There is a long walk to make it to the lake but it will be definitely worth it, you can take a minivan to the entrance to the park but you would have to hike for about 8 Km. It is recommended that once you arrive, you should explore well the walking paths of the lake so that you would be able to see the lake from every angle, outstanding scenery. Once you arrive at the lake, you will also be able to find lots of food for sale.
