Many people believe that the Polish autumn is the most picturesque season in our country, however frequent rain and cold can effectively discourage from leaving warm home. This kind of weather is a perfect time to invite couple of friends, make some delicious Polish food and watch best Polish movies of all time. Below you can find some of our proposals.

1.We start with movie The Pianist directed by one of the best Polish director – Roman Polanski. The film shows a real story about very talented polish musician who struggles to survive the destruction of the Warsaw ghetto in time of II World War. The film received three Oscars and many other awards. In the main role excellent Adrien Brody. Guaranteed strong experiences, and a lot of Polish history.

2. Second movie on our list is Gods by Łukasz Palkowski. Movie is about life of ardiac surgeon Zbigniew Religa. Despite harsh reality of the 1980s Poland, he successfully leads to the first human heart transplantation in Poland. Leading role of the brilliant Polish actor Tomasz Kot, who perfectly reproduces the characteristic professor Religa.

3. If you like to laugh, and you want to know the Polish sense of humour we definitely recommend the movie Boys Don’t Cry by Olaf Lubaszenko. This is a story about a young violinist who unconsciously, due to an unfortunate coincidence finds himself in the middle of gangster feuds.

4. The Last Family is a film that won prestigious award called “Golden Lion” for best Polish movie in 2016. The movie shows unusual relationship between legendary painter Zdzislaw Beksinski and his son Tomasz, a highly-praised music journalist and translator. You can still watch this movie in some Polish cinema.

5. Last but not least – legendary Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski in movie Blind Chance shows three variants of young boy life dependent on the title case, which is trying to catch a departing train.
