Gdańsk University of Technology is considered to be among 7 best universities in Poland according to the World University Ranking 2016, among 50 best European technical universities members of CESEAR, and 3rd most popular Polish university among student candidates. The university was established in 1904 and is constructed of nine faculties with 41 fields of study.


Campus of the university is characterized with well equipped teaching rooms and highly specialized laboratories, which makes it a perfect place to get knowledge.

In June 2015,  the institution has invested in two buildings- GUT Nanotechnology Center (A and B). Earlier, the university also invested in  Laboratory of Innovative Power Technologies and Integration of Renewable Energy Sources LINTE ^ 2, a complex consisting of Mathematics Teaching and Distance Learning Center, and the aforementioned Nanotechnology Center B, and the absolutely unique on a global scale Immersive 3D Visualization Laboratory. Admit it, that is amazing!

As for accommodation, Gdańsk University of Technology has a modern student housing with 2,660 places available. The dormitories are located on the outskirts of the Tricity Landscape Park, in the center of Wrzeszcz and near the sea. Some students also prefer to live in rented flats or rooms.

Gdańsk University of Technology is situated in the center of old Wrzeszcz, which is a Gdańsk district with a good communication with every part of the city. The whole campus is located at Narutowicza street near 5 min to the tram station. The precise street address is Gabriela Narutowicza 11/12.



The University is located 15min from the center of Gdansk, which makes it easy to access banks, grocery shops, cafes, restaurants, and other places of interest.
